I finished my orthodontic treatment in October 2007 but have kept the diary of my treatment on the blog if anyone is interested. Having a brace when you are an adult is becoming far more common nowadays and I want to share with you my experiences and hopefully the end result!!

Well its been nearly a year since my brace was taken off... I've not had too many problems, i'm still wearing my clear retainer on my uppers every other night, don't want them to start moving.. Big waste of cash if I was to not bother and they start twisting again!!
Anyway i'll keep this blog active for my orthodontics but set it up as a side blog and keep my main one going with other random crap!!
WOW - can't really say how it feels... On one hand it feels weird and I want the brace put back on cause I feel I have humongous... Teeth.. But on the other I keep looking at them and thinking WOW!!
On the home straight for sure!!
Got my debanding date for my uppers. October 11th and will have a clear essix retainer.
Lowers need a little longer. Probably another month of two!!
Adjustment has left me in a little pain. I've got a nice clear row of powerchains on top to close up any remaining gaps!
Adjustment 13 is tomorrow.. As there really isn't much movement happening now I thought I would take some quick photos today and compare them back to week 1!! What a difference!!!
It was SO worth it!!
All I need now is some final tweaking and some contouring of my teeth, where they have worn down in the wrong places from being so crooked!!
Well the bottoms are finally straightening up... I've had to use this awful mouthwash a couple of weeks ago which has really stained my teeth and I can't visit the hygienist for another two weeks.... YUK!!
So apologies for the dirty stained teeth!!
Oh and thought it best to stick a bottom comparison in. 3wk to 66wk...

59weeks... Not much more to do with the top row, just closing up the gaps and pulling back a little. Finally the twisted tooth on the bottom row is coming into line. Just added a 3wk and 59wk comparison.. Its a little blurry but I think you can make it out!!
The Ortho doesn't think i'll need to use elastics for the home straight, which is excellent news as I suffer with TMJ problems and elastics would be particularly painful!!
