Week 36 and counting

by SarSarre @ Thursday, Jan. 04, 2007 - 13:51:19

Has it really been 36 weeks? Sometimes its seems much longer and then I look back and think, thats 9 months.. Just enough time to make and have a baby?!:DD
Front comparison 3 to 36wkRight comparison 3wk to 26wkLeft comparison 3wk to 26wkbottom twisty comparison 8wk to 36wk
Here are some today comparisons!

Not a huge amount of movement, but what has happened is subtle. The side shots show alot of difference even from a few weeks ago, but I thought I would add the 8wk comparison in to show the greatest amount of movement as I didn't take side shots before then!

Finally the bottom twisty is on its way to its bracket, the spring is doing the trick and I hope in 13 days at my next adjustment to finally have that bracket in place and the tooth rotated!!

Fantastic.

I can see a huge difference.

Good for you. Back in the States braces on adults are actually pretty commonplace.

Has it been painful?

It has been pretty painful, more so at the start when everything was moving. Around the 6 month mark when my front laterals were being pulled into position and just recently with the spring put on, but to be honest its definitely worth it!!

For years I had a discoloration on one of my front teeth. No amount of brushing, bleaching, or getting obliviously drunk ;) would get rid of it. I hated smiling.

Then one day I was kicked by a horse and it broke that tooth so I begged the dentist to not cap it but pull it and wire in a false one. He did and I haven't stopped smiling since.

It is amazing the confidence you gain by having a nice smile isn't it?
